Converting Weakness to Strength
The
‘A to Z’ of Converting Weakness to Strength. How to work this?
Please
go through the list from A to Z. Under each alphabet, what is written in red
refers to the weakness and those written in purple refer to the strength. Wherever
applicable try to rectify your behavior as suggested in the last row of each
alphabet.
A
It is not a question of
what we do with what we have.
It is the question of what we do not do with
what we have.
B
We give too much importance
to our weaknesses. Our full-time job is to keep on finding out what we are not
good at!
Find out what you are good at, even if it is
quite insignificant. Ignore your weaknesses. ‘Whatever we notice will automatically increase’.
C
Highlighting weakness is
like saying if I could fly like a bird, I would have been successful.
We don’t realize that the bird that could fly
throughout its life, couldn’t achieve anything we did!
D
I can’t do it, it is
difficult for me, no one helps me, and no one encourages me. Something always
comes in the way whenever I try to do anything.
Let me see how I will fail. Do these failures
repeat at all or am I imagining them?
E
These negative beliefs make
us stronger in being weak.
Remove these “self-limiting beliefs” and you
become stronger.
F
The weakness we identify is
an excuse for not being successful. It is a defense we put up to “save our soul”
from further deterioration.
Rather than defending we should be assertive and face
our problems head-on.
G
Both weakness and strength
are relative terms. They change according to the situation.
Change the perspective and you have reversed
one from the other.
H
When I look at someone and
think that I am weaker than him/her.
Someone else is looking at me and thinking I am
stronger than him/her.
I
Is an ant weak? Is an
elephant stronger?
Who knows? When a huge tree falls on both of
them, who do you think will come out unscathed?
J
Suppose a person fractures
a hand, and he finds out that the hand is so important for him to function
normally. He keeps saying that if not for the fracture, he would have done so
many things.
What exactly did he do when everything was all
right?
K
If not for my weakness I
could have achieved a lot more, is what he keeps saying.
However, did he achieve a lot when all his
strengths were intact?
L
You are comparing yourself
to the wrong people.
Choose the people you compare yourself with and
your problems are solved.
M
In a country where the
left-hand drive is present, look to your left.
In a country where the right-hand drive is
present, look to your right.
N
When you walk on the street
do not look to your right and compare yourself to people in vehicles.
Look to your left and discover that a lot more
people are not even able to walk.
O
When you ride a bicycle do
not compare yourself with others going in motorized vehicles.
Look to your left and find out that a lot more
people are just walking.
P
When you ride on a
two-wheeler do not compare with car owners.
Look to your left and see how many don’t have
motorized vehicles.
Q
When you are going in a
car, do not look to your right and compare it with a high-end car.
Look to your left and notice that the majority
of the people do not have a car.
R
When you compare yourself
to the wrong people, you feel weaker.
When you can compare yourself with the people
who matter, you feel stronger.
S
Whether you want to feel
weaker or stronger, is a choice you have to make.
Weakness or strength are just words we have
invented to escape our duties.
T
Continue to do what you are
doing.
And do not wait to reduce your weaknesses. They
will reduce on their own.
U
Because when you change
some weaknesses.
You start noticing some other new weaknesses.
V
No one is 100% strong and
no one is 100% weak.
Weakness is what we blame to cover up our
failures.
W
There is no need to be
guilty of your failures.
As only the people who make attempts can fail.
X
Stop believing in the myth
that stronger people don’t have failures.
Losses have nothing to do with how strong or
weak your qualities are! Stronger people are strong enough to take failures in
their stride.
Y
Your focus should not be on
what qualities you don’t have.
Rather you should focus on the qualities you
already have.
Z
Keep working, keep
attempting, and keep hoping.
And your weakness will automatically convert
into strengths.
