This is neither a religious nor a political commentary but just an academic endeavor to inform the public about Bageshwar Dham Sarkar.

Chapter 4: Is Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri A Mystic?

What does modern science tell about such phenomena?

As has been discussed earlier modern science studies natural phenomena in bits and pieces. As tools and methods progress, new understanding and information keep coming in. This chapter focuses on what modern parapsychology says about the accomplishments of Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri.

Automatic Writing

Usually, automatic writing is done by a professional medium, who can connect with the departed ones. People come to them for closure, especially in contacting the loved ones who are dead. Some of them may go into a trance and are not aware of what is happening around them. In most cases, the writings are done in a script unknown to the medium.

However, automatic writing can also be done even when the individual is conscious of their surroundings. The communication need not have to be with the dead but also with an entity or deity.

Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri claims to have obtained the information from Hanuman but is very well aware of what he writes about a person whom he has identified. If the person wants to ask three questions, then Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri will write down the three questions before the person asks. And without exception, always Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is right.

Sometimes he writes about a person who has not yet been identified, too. After he writes in detail about, let’s say, five people, he numbers those five sheets of paper. Then he asks a journalist or a group of journalists to bring anyone from the crowd of lakhs (hundred thousand) of people.

Then he asks the journalists to identify any one of the five people and any one of the five sheets. In all cases, the problems listed by the individual will be the same as what is written on the sheet of paper.

As far as I know, this is something that is not there in the parapsychology literature. Automatic writing has been studied since 1882 (by the Society for Psychical Research) but no writing has been as accurate as this one.

Hence, this needs to be studied separately.

Clairvoyance

Clairvoyance is knowledge of objects, individuals, or events without the mediation of sensory channels. It is one aspect of Extrasensory Perception (ESP) that has been studied extensively in experimental laboratories.

Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri uses clairvoyance extensively in the following ways.

When several thousand people apply every day, only a few get the chance to be called onto the stage for a personal tet-e-a-tete.

Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri knows whether they have applied or not.

He points out if they have written down the questions and hiding them.

Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri calls them either by name or by the dress they are wearing. Sometimes he calls someone having a relative with a particular name. Once he called out the uncle’s name of a journalist!

The amount of details he reveals about the person is astounding! Once he said to a man that he is keeping a photo of a Godman that he should discard so that he gets the full benefit of the divya darbar. The man kept refuting saying that he had no such picture but Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri tells him exactly where it is in his house.

Scrying

One application of clairvoyance used by mystics is paranormal Psychometry. Here, a person’s identity and details are revealed by touching an object, clothing, etc., belonging to that person. Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri doesn’t use this as he never asks for anything to touch.

However, what he uses is another application of clairvoyance called Scrying. Here, an object is used through which the seer receives messages. Unlike others who use a crystal ball or a mirror, Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri uses a small mace, which he waves above his head. He doesn’t use this all the time but now and then. He calls it his wi-fi through which he receives information from Hanuman.

Psychic Diagnosis

Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is very adept at paranormal psychic diagnosis. He can tell where exactly in the body the ailment is and he is always accurate in his diagnosis. He will also say how long the person had a problem, what the doctors diagnosed, what all the person has done to overcome the problem, etc.

He is not medically qualified but identifies the problem. For example, he is as specific in medical diagnosis as to inform that the person is afflicted in the spine L3S1. This information is not available to everyone except specialist doctors. The person need not be in the presence of Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri. Sometimes he says a relative of a person is afflicted with the problem. People who cannot afford modern medical tests can benefit from such a diagnosis.

In most cases, Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri points out exactly the cause of the problem like infection, accident, congenital, influence of black magic, who has done the black magic, etc.

As was pointed out earlier, Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is not an exception but exceptional. There are such cases of psychic diagnosis from all over the world. Edgar Cayce of the USA was able to diagnose after getting into a trance. Several books on paranormal phenomena are available explaining how it works. Some mystics have been investigated by medical specialists and found reliable. The following video shows how psychic diagnosis was done by looking at the photographs of patients unknown to the seer.

Telepathy

Telepathy is a transference of thought from one person to another without the mediation of sensory channels or physical energy.

Similar to clairvoyance, thousands of laboratory investigations have been done to find out the veracity of telepathic communication. Tests have been conducted with cards, drawings, emotions, images, kinetic impulses, sensations, numbers, etc., and there is ample evidence to substantiate the occurrence of telepathy.

Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is quite adept at this where he not only knows what the person is thinking at present but also what the person thought in the past. It could be an immediate past or a distant past.

The so-called mentalism or mind reading imitates this phenomenon and creates an illusion that the magician can read the mind. However, as pointed out earlier, it is just trickery.

For telepathic communication to be complete there has to be a sender and a receiver. However, the devotees can hardly know how to send the information. In addition, Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is not mind reading because he doesn’t ask people to remember one or two things. He asks the devotees to narrate the questions they have in mind and irrespective of how many questions they ask, he shows what is already written down by him. In most cases, people tell him they have nothing more to ask except a single question. However, Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri points out they have at least three questions and narrates them. The devotees later confirm the questions.

Precognition

Precognition is another aspect of Extrasensory Perception where there is knowledge of an event before it happens. There is no time limit for such a prediction. It can be days, months, years, decades, or even centuries. Many people like Jeane Dixon of the USA, Wolf Messing of the USSR, Nostradamus of France, and Vanga Dimitrova of Bulgaria are famous all over the world for their insight into the future.

In India, too, there are plenty of people who claim to prophesize. It does not mean that all of them are reliable. However, just because some of them are not honest, doesn’t mean that all others should be put in the same bracket.

Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri gives predictions about when the person will get rid of the problem, what one should do to overcome the suffering, and what one should be careful about to avoid future difficulties.

He is also able to carry on with divination where for instance, he tells a woman where to find her missing husband.

Remote Viewing

Of all the scientific studies conducted in the field of parapsychology, the one that comes closest to what Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri does is known as Remote Viewing. This is an offshoot of what was referred to as General Extrasensory Perception (GESP) in the earlier research that contained all three aspects of ESP – Clairvoyance, Telepathy, and Precognition.

The greatest example of remote viewing comes from Mahabharatha, where Sanjaya acts as a seer for Drutharastra. Sanjaya not only describes the situation at hand happening elsewhere, but also narrates details of thoughts, feelings, and perceptions of the person/s he is referring to. He can look into the past, present, and future as if they are all the same. Even the whole of Bhagavadgita is a dialogue between Sanjaya and Drutharastra.

All these capabilities are very well described in Mahabharatha and until modern researchers started working on remote viewing, parapsychologists could not explain Sanjaya’s divine vision. They thought that it was part of the superstition.

One great criticism against Bageshwar Dham is that people are so superstitious that instead of going to a doctor, they come here for treatment. In almost all cases those who come here would have spent a lot of money, time, and resources going to hospitals, taking medicine, following prescriptions, and undergoing surgery. They say that no improvement was there despite their effort and they have come here as a last resort.

If hospitals were successful, then why are there millions of people waiting to be heard?

Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri can help patients overcome severe problems on the spot. One such example is a disjointed spine. As said earlier, he can not only identify the problem specifically as L3S1 but also offer treatment within seconds. The patient has been suffering from the problem for three years, and doctors had recommended surgery. Watch the video below to see how the patient removes the bandage and can walk without pain.

Some people may claim that this is stage-managed. Now, it is their onus to prove so. If they want to test Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, then they should bring someone afflicted with a chronic problem that is pre-diagnosed by medical staff, and subject them to psychic healing. Even if there is a slight improvement on the same day, it is better than what the hospitals are doing after demanding so much money.

Psychic healing is also identified as faith healing. Here, the supposition is that it works only on those who have faith and it acts as a placebo. However, psychic healing affects everyone irrespective of the belief. If a placebo were to cure such severe diseases, then at least hospitalization would have been effective, too.

Psychic healing is practiced all over the world. In India, we have plenty of people who are proficient in it. Of course, some fake practitioners are misleading the public. The WIPs (Well-informed Ignorant Persons) should join hands with magicians and parapsychologists in checking the veracity of the claims. Only then this healing will have gained its importance in Sanatana Dharma.

In summary, old populations relied on spiritual lifestyles to survive. They had to deal with nature and its harsh realities. Hence, they used several ways to gain knowledge, out of which the following are used by Shri Dhirendra Krishna Shastri to identify problems: automatic writing, clairvoyance, scrying, psychic diagnosis, telepathy, precognition, and remote viewing. He also uses psychic healing to help people alleviate their problems. Modern parapsychological research has scientifically established that all these phenomena are verifiable and reliable.
